Coffee x 7 Kickstart

A random Saturdate with J at 7 Kickstart after my Energize class with Jaei! :) Sipping on Iced Latte & Iced Black whilst J shares about his trip to Japan. I think he is in love with the country and can't wait to be back. Can you see the picture of sushi(s) on his phone he was trying to share with me? Truly enjoy such simple weekends catching up on the week with my favourite people, lovely.

Anyway, it's mid-week & I'm happy! Because I'm going to Stralaaaaaaaasg and enjoy a class with Tara Stiles. So excited!

Day 6 - Grove City, USA - Mississauga
Dinner x The Perfect Kitchen
After flying insanely round the world for the past 1.5 months - from Canada, to States, to HK, to Bangkok, it feels so good just to be back at my own crib. Being rested, catching up on shows and savouring on my favourite bowl of home cooked green bean barley dessert. Every trip serves a different purpose and learning experience but ultimately, home is where the heart is :)

Day 3 - Thursday 16 April 2015
Finally had some time to sort out pictures from Day 3 to 6. After breakfast at home on Thursday morning, we were ready for our road trip and boy I was excited! Our drive to Niagara wasn't that far and we stopped by the Great Mountain Center, Pillitteri Estate Winery & Niagara on the lake in between. My favourite has gotta be the last because it's such a quaint, lovely town, with many old charming streets and buildings. It was freezing but I went ahead to enjoy a fresh ice-cream cone at Taylor's ice cream and a cuppa hot coffee.

We arrived Embassy Suite shortly in the evening and was welcomed by the most amazing and beautiful Niagara Fallsview from our room. Dinner was at Grand Buffet in the Fallsview Casino, followed by a windy walk around The Great Canadian Midway. We ended the night with some jackpot games. It was truly a privilege to be able to dine and tour around there, and we love it.

Day 4 - Friday 17 April 2015
After our breakfast buffet, we checked out and headed to the Falls. Being so close is the real thing, it is simply speculator and stunning!! No words can describe how powerful and magnificent the water flow is, I can't stop wow-ing. Just thrilled to be there :) We left Niagara in the noon and continue our drive up to USA. It was already 7ish night when we arrived Grove City.

Day 5 - Saturday 18 April 2015
Premier outlet shopping was our plan for the day. After breakfast, we started our spree from 10am.. all the way to 10pm. Everywhere simply has some kind of extraordinary sales and we seriously didn't had time for all. There were 100 over stores and we combed less than 20!?! Anyway, happy to score some great buys like Tommy Hilfiger's wear, Fossil, Adidas, Banana Republic, Gap, Kate Spade, etc at really great prices.

Day 6 - Sunday 19 April 2015
I barely had any energy to continue on Sunday. lol. It's pretty tiring to shop whilst you're don in winter wear. We had 3 hours for a few more stores and drove back to Cad just in time for dinner, at The Perfect Kitchen. I love their complimentary soup, beef slices and egg fried rice.. Everything's so good we even went back on our last day for their crab. Excellent Chinese restaurant :)

Next up would be our 3 days visit to Eastern Canada!
Time for bed and back to work tomorrow.

15 May x I got engaged

Life's been going non-stop lately, I felt like I haven't got a moment to breath.

15 May is probably one of the most memorable night in my life. YES, I got engaged :') <3 The proposal truly came by a surprise. Jack & I are very thankful for all the blessings and also our dear friends/my colleagues who were part of this. Our hearts are filled with happiness.

I had dinner & staycation plans with my girlfriends (& J) that night. Our dinner was as usual and everything went on so smoothly I didn't notice anything weird :| Until it was time to get back to hotel, the girls have decided on no gifts exchange this year, and so they prepared a friendship video for me. I knew that it was a proposal when the first picture that popped out is Jack & myself.... (plus he couldn't made last min for my dinner because he was still with his client)!

After the video, he came out from behind the bind (with all my poly friends) and popped the question. I said Yes, of course but the surprise just didn't end here. The guys lugged a luggage out and he presented me a pair of air tickets (he even applied leave informally for me)! I went blank for the next 3-5 minutes trying to figure what was happening because I was supposed to have "training" on Monday. Anyway, I was truly touched by this sweetest gesture of love and to J, thank you for being so amazing that day I can't await for the next stage of our life together!

That night, we barely slept and woke up in wee morning to catch our flight to HK! :)

✈ Canada x Day 2

Day 2 - Brunch @ Sunset Grill & Exploring Mississauga
My heart's so fond of this beautiful place! After settling down the night before, mom & I slept for about 6 hours and we were wide awake by 6am. It was already bright, and it seems cold outside brr (which IT WAS - 1 degree). We lay around in our quilt for another hour or so before getting up for brunch. Aunt brought us to Sunset Grill which we all had Bacon or ham, or sausage & Three Eggs, served with home fries & thick toast. We didn't miss our cuppa fresh brewed coffee as well. The meal was so delicious and filling, just the kind of brunch I'd love to make at home in the future :)

After brunch was 3-4 hours of shopping at Erin Mill Town Centre. We took a New York Fries break as well. I seldom eat fries but I thought it was good, made out of fresh potatoes and very crispy! Yumz. Canada is such a lovely place with really big space and clear blue skies, driving or walking around the place makes one feels so calm and relax.

We had Chinese for dinner at Golden Central Square before heading back to pack up for our 3 days 2 night road trip to Niagara Falls & Grove City, which was also one of the best part of our trip!

....Can't believe I'm turning 26 in an hour's time. What? How did time flies so quickly!

26th x Together in blues

Awesome weekend back in Singapore & boy, I miss summer! I don't enjoy being sticky but I guess I still prefer light clothes and some warmth on my skin :) Spent time packing up a little, catching up with J over desserts and of course, family gathering. Had my first birthday cake surprise by J's family after our dinner feast, so touched :') The hazelnut cake was so delicious, I had such a great night!

Gratitude

Hi guys, it's MAYYYYY!

After many long days and nights of travelling, I'm back! These 3 weeks was nothing but amazing, enriching and incredible :) Right now, I'm settling back into life and work, and ..... unpacking! In 20 days, I've visited 2 countries and so many cities. Everywhere was picturesque! Living in Singapore is a privilege but you see what a tiny space it occupies in the world. I have gained a broader worldview, and happy to have met many new people. More importantly, experiencing a home life in Canada, which was awesome. Traveling - it leaves you speechless :)

I'm feeling refreshed and grateful now. Grateful for this wonderful memories and seeing the real deal :)

I have taken tons of pictures, will sort them out and post it up. Till then, enjoy your Saturday!

A walk in nature

It's been a crazy and hectic month of March. We had so much happenings within the family and though we are truly sad with our sudden loss, departing is part and parcel of life. All the good memories we share will always be a part of us and life goes on :)

Anyway, the cousins & I went on an impromptu morning hike at MacRitchie Reservoir two Sunday back! I haven't visited this popular park for more than 10 years and it was such a beauty. It feels good to get back to nature to breathe some fresh air and do some light workout, specially on a beautiful day. I enjoyed exploring the forest and trails alot!

It was a breeze getting up to the HSBC Tree Top Walk.... but this was only just beginning! We had the option of going down which leads to the start or back to Zhenghua park. Since it was only a difference of 1 km+, we chose the latter of course and it was not that NEARRRRR. By the time we reached bpp after a 14km walk, it was noon and our legs were sore. But it was all worth for the yummylicious pb toast set at Wangjiao, our reward for the day! I would definitely love to do this trail once more!
